Kamasi Washington does not disappoint. The tracks here on average have a more accessible feel than past works but there's no shortage of blazing sax solos, monumental rhythms or cinematic melodies. But this is nicely balanced by smoother cuts like the slinky oozy groove of "Get Lit" or the earnest slow-burn of "Together". A dazzlingly luxurious album from start to finish. Unbelievable talent.
